BODEGAS PROTOS CLOSES A DECADE OF QUALITY INVESTMENTS EXCEEDING THE BARRIER OF 58 MILLION EUROS

Its new headquarters, designed by the prestigious architect Richard Rogers, marked a before and after in the history of the winery with an investment of 36 million euros.
The commitment to the landing at the Rueda, with 11.1 million euros, becomes the second most important investment value.
The qualitative improvement of infrastructure in its headquarters in Burgos Anguix, with 4.1 million, strengthening its leadership in Ribera.

2015 marks 10 years since Bodegas Protos started a strong period of investments with the single premise to improve the quality of its wines, adapting to the new times. There have been over 58 M € that the winery has invested in various areas of the business network, which has been a qualitative leap in quality, innovation and industry leadership.

Bodegas Protos -Peñafiel (DO Ribera Duero)

In the area of ​​facilities, Protos ordered the design of its new winner to Richard Rogers and it has involved an initial investment of 36 M €. Additionally, there are two new investments in 2013, with the installation of a new bottling line art, which represented 1.3 M €, and the new barrell park with an investment of 1.4 M €, plus the implement of a  warehouse management system (capable of managing traceability retail warehouse stock through an advanced radio system) and a purification water equipment;It was an investment of 400,000 euros.

Bodega Protos- Anguix (DO Ribera Duero)

Protos invested in Anguix ( a town near from Burgos) in 1989 , in order to be closer to his old and best vineyards . In 2004, he undertook an expansion of 2.5 M €.

After almost twenty years of operation, this year, in order to improve the quality and condition to offer guided tours in the future, it is making an investment of 1.65 M €.

Bodega Protos Verdejo- La Seca (RUEDA)

In 2006 Protos arrived to DO RUEDA with the building of a new  winery in La Seca. It was an initial investment of 6 M €. Two years later, thanks to the great success of Protos Verdejo, the winery held the first expansion of the facilities, which amounted to 3 M €. This year there has been a second extension to undertake the demand which will double the current capacity, incorporating the latest technologies in wine market, which will involve an investment of 2.1 M € additionally.
